    Nitrokey 3C NFC Unfortunately the supply of PCBs for Nitrokey 3C NFC has been delayed by three weeks. Consequently we had to postpone the shipping of Nitrokey 3C NFC to week three of January 2023. Once the devices are available we will do our best to ship all pre-orders as soon as possible.

    Nitrokey 3 Status Update

    Nitrokey 3A NFC As planned, all pre-orders were shipped in October and the Nitrokey 3A NFC is finally "in stock" and therefore immediately available for future orders. Nitrokey 3C NFC Production of the Nitrokey 3C NFC has started and we are sticking to the plan to ship it later this year. It is expected that we will need January to send all pre-orders.

    OpenPGP Card Alpha For Nitrokey 3

    OpenPGP is an open standard to encrypt, decrypt and sign documents, files and emails, which is mostly used with GnuPG. Storing cryptographic keys on a smart card such as the OpenPGP Card enables users to securely and conveniently use the same key across multiple devices. In case the device is lost, cryptographic keys remain securely in the device and can't be extracted.

    Nitrokey 3 Status Update

    OpenPGP Card Next week we will publish an alpha release of our brand-new OpenPGP Card implementation. We will publish more information in this blog. Nitrokey 3A NFC The production and shipment of pre-orders are in process. So far we shipped about half of all pre-orders and will need October to ship all remaining orders. Afterwards we will have stock to ship upcoming orders immediately.

    Nitrokey 3 Status Update

    Nitrokey 3A Mini As planned, all pre-orders have been shipped and the Nitrokey 3A Mini is finally "in stock" and therefore immediately available for future orders. Nitrokey 3A NFC As announced in the last status update, production of the Nitrokey 3A NFC is underway. To optimize the failure rate, we plan to produce the electronics in several steps, so it will take a few days to complete the entire production. Nevertheless, we plan to start shipping shortly.

    Nitrokey 3: OpenPGP Card Development

    Our development of the OpenPGP Card application for the Nitrokey 3 is beginning to bear fruit. GnuPG successfully recognizes the Nitrokey 3 as an OpenPGP Card (development version of the firmware required). Key operations are not yet possible. Now we focus on the support of a first elliptic curve. We will report on further progress here in the coming weeks.
